Make Games, Make Friends, Make A Difference
This month’s Game Art Orbit will feature a demonstration of the basics of working with Blender 3D. This lesson will cover how to craft a simple object, a dumbbell, and a mildly complex object, an ancient watchtower. We will focus on how to create models, texture them, and edit shaders.
Our guest instructor for this lesson is Christian Romero. Christian is a Game Art student who graduated from Drexel University in 2018, and will be continuing his studies with a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Connecticut in August 2022. Christian is also currently working as a part-time contractor with the YouTube channel Kings & Generals, where he recently released his first video. He is passionate about low-poly art, history, and getting to know new people.

ABOUT ORBIT: GAME ART
Want to improve your digital art skills? This group is for you!
The Game Art Orbit group is intended to help local artists and game makers connect, and to provide a forum for mutual support and peer-based mentorship. The group focuses on topics related to 2D and 3D art creation for games and interactive digital media.
The Game Art Orbit group meets at 1pm every third Saturday of each month in the #general-voice channel of the Tech Valley Game Space Discord. These group meetups provide opportunities for participants to share information, discuss projects, ask questions, and obtain guidance from experienced mentors.
