Make Games, Make Friends, Make A Difference
This month’s 3D Game Design Orbit will feature an introductory lesson on how to use Unity’s built-in AudioMixer feature. AudioMixer, as the name implies, is a mixer that enables you to adjust audio configurations. It provides an intuitive interface for applying effects such as making it sound like certain audio sources are coming through a radio, getting corrupted, up or down pitched, volume changes, behind some object, and so on.
Our guest instructor for this lesson is Taro Omiya. Taro is the co-founder of Tech Valley Game Space, and a Japanese-American indie game developer of eight years with extensive Unity experience and over 40 games under his belt. Taro is a creative force dedicated to building a thriving game development environment in the Capital Region. A 2010 Computer Science graduate from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Taro holds twelve years of cumulative professional software engineering experience working for companies including Boeing and NetherRealm Studios.
