Make Games, Make Friends, Make A Difference
Our first Orbit Night speaker is Greg Lee, co-founder of Team Terrible. Greg will be giving a talk called “Leveraging Luck” and sharing the story of how he and his collaborative partner Aaron Baumbach turned a game jam project into a thriving indie studio with 12 developers.
The Baby in Yellow has around 240 million downloads across Android, iOS, and Steam, and is incredibly popular with teenagers around the globe. Despite being in early access, the game’s viral success has already enabled its creators to quit their day jobs, form their own indie studio, and focus full-time on development.
When it comes to achieving this kind of viral success, luck is always a factor. But what steps can indie creators take to increase their chances of being in such a fortunate position? Once your game starts gaining some traction, how can you leverage that initial attention and convert the momentum into establishing and running an indie game studio?
Join us Wednesday at 6:30pm for Orbit Night, when Greg will address these questions and more!
